I Sat in 9 'Pro' Chairs for 12 Hours Each

By Dev K.

We bought nine flagship chairs from nine brands, set up identical workstations, and rotated through them for twelve hours of real work per chair. No simulated tests. No paid placements. Receipts on the website.

The short version: most 'gaming' chairs at the thousand-dollar mark are office chairs with racing-stripe vinyl glued on. The leather is bonded, the foam is single-density, the lumbar support is a pillow on a strap.

Three chairs separated themselves clearly. All three used full-grain leather (not 'PU' or 'bonded'), multi-density molded foam, and proper four-dimensional adjustable arms. After hour eight, the gap between these and everything else became impossible to ignore.

Our own Studio chair was one of the three. We're biased, obviously, but the other two were a Norwegian brand at $1,400 and a Japanese brand at $1,900 — both excellent, both more than we charge.

The bottom six? Avoid. Including two whose names you've heard a thousand times in YouTube sponsorships.
