  • You've watched the YouTube videos and bought the courses
  • You know the patterns but can't seem to execute consistently
  • You want a system, not another guru

Who it isn't

If you want shortcuts or signals, look elsewhere.

A page from chapter three

"Position sizing is the only math that matters."

Most traders lose money for one reason. It isn't because their analysis is bad. It isn't because they don't know the patterns. It's because they bet too much on a single idea, and one bad trade undoes a month of good ones.

Position sizing is the math that decides whether you survive long enough to get good. Get it right and a 40% win rate makes you money. Get it wrong and an 80% win rate blows up your account.

The rule is one number: how much of your account are you willing to lose on this trade if you're completely wrong? For most operators, that number sits between 0.5% and 2%. Above 2%, a five-trade losing streak — which every trader has, every month — costs you 10% of your capital. Below 0.5%, you can't generate enough return to matter…

— Chapter 3, p. 47

The author

Jordan King.

Operator, founder, recovering trader

Eleven years trading equities and futures, six of them losing money, five of them not. Blew up two accounts before I figured out the only thing that actually mattered: risk management, executed consistently, on a routine I could run on three hours of sleep.

I didn't write the Field Guide to teach you a system. I wrote it because the manual I needed didn't exist — every "course" was either gated behind a $2,000 mentorship or stretched into 40 hours of video that should've been 180 pages. So I wrote the 180 pages.

From readers

What the first 1,200 readers said.

"I've spent $4,000 on trading courses. This $19 ebook is the only one I've gone back and re-read. The chapter on position sizing alone is worth it."
Diego R.
"Read it in two evenings. Re-wrote my whole journal the next morning. First profitable month in nine months followed."
Hannah K.
"Refreshingly free of guru nonsense. No screenshots of Lamborghinis. Just the manual."
Tomás L.

Honest answers

Before you buy.

Is this for stocks, crypto, or futures?

The framework — sizing, risk, routine, journaling, mental game — applies to any leveraged or directional market. Specific examples use US equities and futures, but readers have applied it to crypto, FX, and options without translation.

Will it make me profitable?

No book will make you profitable. This one will give you the framework that profitable operators use, written plainly. The work of applying it is yours.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this the right starting point?

Yes — chapters 1 and 2 assume you've never opened a chart. By chapter 4 we're into risk math that intermediate traders will also benefit from.

What format does it ship in?

PDF and ePub, delivered by email the moment you check out. DRM-free, yours to read on any device, forever.

Is there a video version?

No. The whole point of the Field Guide is that it's a book — 180 pages you can read in two evenings, refer back to in five minutes, and annotate with a pen. Video would defeat the purpose.

Will there be a sequel or course?

No course. There may be a second short book on a narrower topic eventually. There will never be a $2,000 mentorship.

$19. Read it tonight.

Delivered as PDF and ePub the moment you check out. 30-day refund if it doesn't change how you think about a trade. Keep the PDF either way.
